Dear all
As today is Wednesday, I thought I would share the release of the third video in our series - Wednesday's Child is Full of Woe.
http://www.esrc.ac.uk/publications/multimedia/seven-days/wednesday.aspx
The video this week looks at poverty and inequality, and includes Prof Stephen Jenkins at LSE, who used the British Household Panel Survey in his work charting poverty in the UK. I found some of the findings quite shocking in today's Britain.
Other research features include:
the Millennium Cohort Study that shows over one third of children are poor in their first five years;
and the 'shame' of being poor - new research starting from ESRC and the Department for International Development
If you'd like to Tweet, our hash tag is #sevendays .
I hope you find this short video entertaining and informative.
Comments are of course welcome!
Many thanks
Melanie
