The wide-ranging programme includes keynote speaker Rolf-Inge Godøy,
three lecture-recitals (voice, piano, harpsichord), and papers and
posters on visualisation, metaphor, historic performance, embodiment,
popular song, contemporary music, theory, structure, gesture, emotion,
and cross-domain mapping.

The conference will be held at the Institute of Musical Research (WC1E
7HU), across the road from The British Museum and within easy walking
distance of The British Library, Oxford Street, Soho, Regent's Park and
London Zoo, offering a wide range of distractions and opportunities to
eat, study, sight-see and shop: precede the Olympic crowds and see
London at its best!
