I agree with Carr...no-one deserves to be spoken to in an inappropriate manner.
The content of the emails, to me, sounds threatening and this is unnacceptable in my opinion and I personally would escalate this to his manager and HR. My concern would be that in a one-to-one consultation - would this aggression and threatening behaviour escalate and put you in an unthinkable situation. The chap obviously doesnt value your professional opinion so I wouldnt see him and refer onwards.
