There is actually a seminar coming up covering this very topic!! It may be
of interest to you.

evaluation approaches (e.g. web-based surveys), as well as approaches to
evaluating web-based public engagement and learning activities. We will
consider both the potential and limitations of a range of technologies for
data collection in evaluation research, including using first-person
audio/video recorders and iPads."
