Dear MCG,
As part of the follow-up to the Europeana Awareness event in Brussels
last night, we are working on a report highlighting examples of current
innovative projects using tech and/or media in UK museums, archives and
libraries.
Although we have a lot of examples, there are a couple of areas in which
we are struggling to find current museum examples, and I am hoping that
you can help us out!
We are looking for projects in the following areas:
* Projects in which museums have worked with local communities
to build digital literacy - either directly, through workshops or
seminars, or more generally as an outcome of a digital, learning or
community project
* Projects in which museums have generated a sustainable new
income stream either from their digital content, the development of a
new application or establishing a new business model
If you are involved in a project along these lines, we would really love
to know! All we need is the name of the project, a short paragraph
describing it and ideally a link from which people can find out further
information.
I am really hoping that the lack of current examples isn't indicative
that there's nothing to report in these areas!
Thanks in advance for any help you can provide.
All best,
Nick
