Hello All,
I am currently looking at the provision of library services to support NHS staff undertaking systematic reveiws. To get a bit of an understanding of what people require we conducted a short user survey which although it got quite a small response gave us some useful information around the types of services people would find useful (e.g. literature search services, informaton skills training, document delivery services, critical appraisal skills training etc.) The aim is to package these existing services to provide a tailored service targeted at staff involved in systematic reviews, possibly to provide 1-2-1 support throughout the different stages of the process.
I would be interested to hear from others out there that have similar tailored services for systematic reviews. Specifically looking at:
Are they well used?
Any evaluation of use or impact?
What core services services do you provide to these staff?
How do you market these services to attract the attention of the appropriate people?
How do they request this support and how is it recorded? (e.g. ad hoc in person or is there a system used to submit, allocate and store requests and the support provided)
Any anecdotal evidence of good practice out there would be very useful and I will of course provide a summary of the responses for the list for anyone else that is interested.
Thanks in advnace for your help.
Kind Regards,
Fran
