Mimas, in conjunction with Thomson Reuters, are offering a further
series of free training sessions for library and research staff who have
an interest in InCites. InCites is a customised tool that enables users
to analyse institutional productivity and benchmark output against peers
worldwide, more information at:

InCites is an additional subscription to the JISC Collections Web of
Science/Knowledge agreement, more information about additional products
at http://wok.mimas.ac.uk/about/. If you wish, you can check if your

Attendees are welcome whether or not their institution presently subscribe.
The course will include a demonstration of InCites followed by hands on.
This demonstration will begin with an overview of InCites and its
components - during the demonstration the various reports available in
InCites will be discussed, along with how the benchmark data accompanies
the underlying standard bibliometric data. The hands on section will
enable participants to run reports and interpret results following
structured exercises.
Who is this course for?
This course is aimed at library and research staff who have an interest
in Research Evaluation using bibliometrics and benchmark data.
Course materials and format.
This course will combine a mixture of demonstrations and structured
hands-on practical sessions; in addition there will be opportunities for
attendees to ask questions and provide feedback.
