Marine asset planning analyst
London
The Crown Estate, valued at over £7 billion, manages a wide range of land and property across the United Kingdom. This includes ownership of around half of the UK’s foreshore and the majority of the seabed within the 12 nautical mile UK territorial limit. Our activities are supported by our core values of commercialism, integrity and stewardship, which inform the way we do business and the actions we take to fulfil our responsibilities.
As part of this commitment we developed MaRS - an innovative and bespoke GIS marine asset planning tool - to optimise our marine assets while balancing societal, economic and environmental considerations. We’re now looking for an experienced Planning Analyst to maintain and enhance a database of UK marine datasets and oversee the data’s transfer to and from MaRS.
With expertise of ESRI Desktop GIS products and a comprehensive knowledge of UK coastal and marine datasets, you will have the ability to present spatial data and analyse datasets using geo-processing and Spatial Analyst tools. We’re also looking for a real customer focus and good communication skills as you’ll be expected to represent The Crown Estate with external stakeholders. In addition, you will work well as part of a team.
