Trevor Burnard and I coedited - has just been published in paperback
(it was published in hardback in 2011).
The volume has twenty new essays that range from the ancient period
to the present and includes chapters on topics such as Greek and
Roman Slavery; Slavery in Africa; the Atlantic Slave Trade; Gender
and Family Life; Slave Culture; Resistance to Slavery; Abolition of
the Slave Trade; Forging Freedom; and Modern Slavery.
