Dear Phoebe,
Would you be kind enough to circulate this amongst the IPEG membership. The post is advertised in IP, but the School is very interested in IPE scholars too.
Best wishes, Bill Paterson

Chair in International Politics
University of Stirling - School of Arts & Humanities - History & Politics
Attractive salary package within the Professorial scale

Open-ended, Full time

Job reference: SCH00064

We seek to appoint an open-ended Chair in International Politics, within the Politics subject area of the School of Arts & Humanities. This post has been specifically created to enhance research leadership and income generation and to facilitate the further growth of our successful taught postgraduate initiatives. International politics and organisations constitute a core element of our highly successful MSc in International Conflict and Cooperation and the appointee will play a leading role in the further development of the recruitment potential and international appeal of this programme. The successful candidate will offer research leadership within the context of the Centre for Human Security & European Neighbourhood Studies and will also provide academic leadership within the School of Arts & Humanities. The appointee will also play a central role in the development of strategic initiatives to enhance interdisciplinary research at both intra and inter-School levels.

As well as making a significant contribution to research leadership and postgraduate initiatives, the appointee would be expected to contribute to the Politics undergraduate provision, to pursue a programme of research, including research output and funding applications, to undertake postgraduate research supervision relevant to their expertise and to undertake administrative duties as prescribed by the Head of Division.

It is hoped that the successful candidate would be able to take up his/her appointment during the Autumn 2012 semester
