Dear Archives-NRA list members
Here's a reminder about this fabulous course running next Tuesday. We still
have a couple of places left, so: Do you need help to get your message
across?
The web is often the first step in effective low-cost marketing for your
organisation. The next step is learning how to write powerfully for the web
so that you can grab the attention of your audience. Creating Capacity
www.creatingcapacity.org has *Writing with oomph: How to use creative
writing to wake up your readers* on 29 May in Central London.
Who is the trainer?
Frances Booth www.herearesomewords.com is a trained journalist and editor.
She writes for The Guardian Online, National Geographic Traveller and works
for the Ministry of Stories. With her passion for words you will be in safe
hands.
What will I learn?
The course will cover:
• Writing for website homepages, Twitter, and for Search Engine Optimisation
(SEO) • Writing for your reader • Helping you to be found by those who want
to find you on the web • Practical exercises and examples from the culture
and heritage sectors and beyond • Using engaging and powerful words to
attract new and existing audiences
The session has lots of opportunities to learn and share with your peers as
well as time to begin work on your own project (for example re-writing a
website homepage), and to get feedback from Frances.
What do I do next?
