Hi,
thank you for this. It is indeed London Gateway . We are trying to make
sense of the assemblages we have. I look forward to seeing you at the
archaeobotanical workshop. I am attending the Saturday session but not the
Sunday.
Best wishes
Kath

Subject: Re: Salt extraction from the ash of salt marsh vegetation
Hi Kath,
I've been looking at similar things recently, but from the perspective of
seaweed salt production in the early medieval north Atlantic. In terms of
Zostera, attached are another two articles you may or not have been sent
already.
Could this perhaps be related to the OAS excavations at the London Gateway,
Shell Haven? I was working for EH as a science advisor when they were
underway, and remember well the amazing preservation of the IA-RB salterns!
Maybe we'll cross paths at the archaeobotany workshop in Oxford - it'd be
good to share thoughts without having to write a stack of emails.
Best wishes,
Rachel.
