The Avon group of the Royal Statistical Society has organised a short
course and seminar on "Group Sequential and Adaptive Methods for Clinical
Trials" to be held on 25 May at the University of Bath.
The short course will be given by Professor Christopher Jennison
(University of Bath) and will include the following topics:
GROUP SEQUENTIAL TESTS
* Underpinning theory and computation
* Error spending tests
* Example: sequential monitoring of survival data
ADAPTIVE DESIGNS
* The combination test
* Testing multiple hypotheses
* Sample size modification
* Enrichment trial designs
* Seamless Phase 2/Phase 3 designs
The course will be followed by a seminar on "Recent advances in phase
II/III clinical trials: Study Design and Methods of Analysis" by Professor
Sue
Todd (University of Reading).
TIME: 1.15-5.15pm (including seminar), 25 May
