JOB: BioSS, Senior Researcher / Principal Researcher in Statistical
Bioinformatics
Starting Salary £33,780 - £37,534 / £42,769 - £47,521 plus public
sector pension entitlements
We seek a scientist with a strong quantitative background to undertake
methodological research in statistical bioinformatics in collaboration
with biological scientists. The aim is to develop and apply
computationally intensive modelling and analysis methods to exploit the
potential of existing and emerging types of data. The postholder may be
based in either Edinburgh, Dundee or Aberdeen.
Applicants should have:
• a strong statistical/mathematical/computing background;
• experience in statistical bioinformatics research, including a
substantial publication record, and evidence of project leadership for
appointment at Principal level;
• excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
