Dear Henrik,
I do hope you are well.
I am putting together a memorial to Kenneth Grant. From the outside, it
will appear to be conventional book, but on opening it, one will find it
is more like a folder. It contains the following four booklets:-
Roberto Migliussi, Dead-Ends and Breakthroughs, An Appreciation of
Kenneth Grant
Dave Evans, Kenneth Grant- Occultist, Author, Poet, Visionary - An
Appreciation
Jan Fries, Kenneth Grant, A Memory
Mike Magee, Memories of Kenneth Grant
There will also be:-
a memorial hard by Hagen,
the issue of the Cauldron which carried Mick Staley's obituary
The page from the Independent that carried Declan O'Neil's obituary.
The publication will be issued by subscription, with subscribers names
printed unless they request anonymity.
Steffi Grant's copy will be specially bound. For a start I have
arranged to go to the main importer of goatskins suitable for
bookbinding so that I can choose the skin from their stock which best
represented Nuit blue..
Dave gives some useful personal accounts of the experience of reading
Grants books but, aside from that, only describes them in very brief and
general terms. I do regard the books as crucial to Grant's works. The
thought did occur to me that your bibliography of Grant's writings would
complement these items rather well. I wondered if you would consider
issuing me a licence to reprint your bibliography booklet, so it too
could be included. I would only print enough for the number of memorials
that people subscribe to. If this is agreeable, you should consider what
payment you would think appropriate. You would, of course, get a
contributor's copy of the fold. Steffi will, of course, receive No.1. If
you did wish to contribute, yours would be No.2, on account of the
alphabetical order of surnames.
With my best wishes
Ben
