This is an opportunity to work for Oxford Outcomes (part of ICON plc), an international company specialising in Health Economics, Patient-Reported Outcomes (PRO), Epidemiology, and Translations and Linguistic Validation. We have offices in Oxford (UK), Bethesda, New Jersey and San Francisco (USA), and Vancouver and Toronto (Canada). We undertake consultancy projects for a range of international clients in the pharmaceutical and medical device sectors.
We now seek a Health Economist to join our Health Economics group in Oxford. Our Health Economics team is respected in the health technology assessment field for the quality of their work and methodological innovations. The candidate recruited for this role will be expected to contribute to all aspects of the department’s work and particularly to further their skills in decision modelling and related statistical analyses.
The ideal candidate will possess:
• A Master’s degree or equivalent in statistics or econometrics, preferably including a medical statistics component.
• A genuine interest in health technology appraisal and economic evaluation methods and applications.
• A strong desire to learn and to gain a deep understanding of the work of the department.
• Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
• High self-motivation.
• Leadership potential.
Oxford Outcomes are committed to supporting the growth and development of the health economics team. The candidate recruited for this role will receive external training as well as on the job training from our senior scientists.
The position is permanent, full-time and salary is negotiable depending on qualifications and experience.
