To R, or not to R, that is the question

The Royal Statistical Society (RSS) Statistical Computing Section is pleased to invite you to attend a one-day meeting to discuss applications and recent developments of the statistical software environment R, which will be held on Friday 29th June 2012 from 9:30 am at the RSS headquarters.
We have invited speakers from academia, industry and education to share examples of successful use of R in their work – although some limitations of R will be pointed out too. The meeting is relevant to:
- statisticians, bioinformaticians and other analysts working with R, or planning on moving to the R environment;
- undergraduate and graduate students who work, or plan to work, with R;
- scientists, educators and government/industry members who wish to learn about R's potential;
- anyone who wishes to network with colleagues from relevant areas.
