Dear all,
The next PFGS regional meeting will take place at the Department of Public Health in Oxford on the 8th of June 2012.
We issue a Call for Papers on : Emerging themes in clinical genethics.
‘Genethics’ refers to the ethical, social, and legal issues (ELSI) relating to genetics and genomics, which have become increasingly important in light of rapidly emergent research applications such as genome-wide assay studies and direct-to-consumer genetic testing. As such, this PFGS meeting will focus on exploring the relationship between research developments and clinical applications in light of ethical considerations for both genetics research and practice. Approaches from Anthropology would be very welcome.
