A 2.5-years post-doc position (TV-L 13) is available from July 2012 at the Freiburg Brain Imaging Center (http://www.uniklinik-freiburg.de/fbi/live/index_en.html) in Germany. The candidate will apply functional and structural MRI methods to characterise cognitive compensation in Huntington’s and Alzheimer’s Disease. We aim to develop tools to predict the individual disease course and to design tailored cognitive interventions.

It is closely collaborating with the Center for Data Analyses and Modelling (http://www.fdm.uni-freiburg.de/projects/dynamic-processes-in-life-sciences) and the Department for Pattern recognition methods (http://lmb.informatik.uni-freiburg.de/index.en.html).
We require
a PhD or equivalent in Psychology, Medicine or a related field. Previous experience with MR-imaging and programming (e.g. Matlab) are mandatory. Sound knowledge of statistics are advantageous.
