Dear Udunna,
I know that this is not the best solution, but if nothing helps you can try to rename your template to the name of the default dartel template. Your error message is not complete and the most interesting part about the line number of the resp. vbm8 tool is missing...
You should also check whether the batch is running without changing the dartel template. If this check is successful, there is probably something wrong with your template or how you defined this template in the batch. I would recommend to not change the longitudinal code, but to rather change the definitions in cg_vbm8_defaults.m.
