Dear All,
Are you interested in learning more about how to manage your research
data (policy and process)?
The Digital Curation Centre is the UK’s leading hub of expertise in
curating digital research data. Anyone who can benefit from storing,
managing and protecting digital data can turn to the DCC for expert
advice and practical help. The DCC Phase 3 team has its core at the
University of Edinburgh and partners at UKOLN (University of Bath) and
HATII (University of Glasgow).
The team will be running a free roadshow in Belfast on 6th and 7th June
2012 at the McClay library, Queen's University, Belfast in conjunction
with Queen's University Belfast.

The programme includes an exciting range of local speakers including Dr.
Sandra Collins, Director of Digital Repository of Ireland (DRI), Ian
Fleming, Preservation and Collections Managemer for the the Public
Record Office of Northern Ireland (PRONI) and Deirdre Wildy, Senior
Subject Librarian, Queen's University. They will share examples of
developing research data management services and infrastructure. A draft
programme is available online.
* Day 1 is a general introduction and is open to all. Best practice will
be shared through case studies to help build a community of data
management expertise in Ireland.
* Day 2 is a strategic training day for research support staff. The
workshop provides an introduction to curation and DCC tools so you can
start to plan research data management services for your institution.
Each day can be booked individually. Please pass this invitation on to
colleagues who might also be interested.
