Dear All
Re: New European project – Introduction and request for existing resources
My colleagues and I would like to introduce an exciting new project and ask for your support. European Patients’ Academy on Therapeutic Innovation (EUPATI), funded by the Innovative Medicines Initiative, is a patient-driven initiative to change the landscape in the EU by increasing the capacities and capabilities of well-informed patients to be effective advocates and advisors in medicines development [http://www.patientsacademy.eu/]. The project was launched in February 2012 and over the next 5 years it will work to create educational modules on all aspects of the development of new medicines.
Do you want to join the EUPATI network?
EUPATI has been set up with patients all across Europe and will be developed by a consortium of interested groups. We are keen to collaborate and develop our network of partners and other groups who are interested in the outcome of the project, so please let us know that you would like to part of our network and be kept up-to-date on the developments within the project by clicking here http://www.patientsacademy.eu/eupati-network
Can you help EUPATI to collect existing resources?
One of the first stages of this project is to reach out to patient organisations, pharmaceutical industries and research establishments to review existing educational and training resources on medicines development. We can only do this with your help, and in order to make sure that we are collating all relevant materials, we would be very grateful if you could upload the resources that you use, or are aware of, by following: www.patientsacademy.eu/suggest<http://www.patientsacademy.eu/suggest>
Please note that the deadline for submitting resources is Friday 4 May.
Cascade this email to your networks
If you wish to cascade this email further to other relevant organisations we would be very grateful. Please contact us at [log in to unmask]<mailto:[log in to unmask]> to let us know the names of the organisations to which you have cascaded the email and their classification (e.g. patient group, research establishment, healthcare organisation, etc.) to give us an idea of the reach of our search.
Thank you!
Thank you very much for your time and for any information that you provide. If you have any questions about EUPATI or the review of existing resources, please do not hesitate to email [log in to unmask]<mailto:[log in to unmask]>
Kind regards
Marisha
