I'm assuming this was Mr. Vine's show?

Some interesting discussion recently on Helium -- I nearly raised it
here at the time.
BBC Radio 2 had a phone in and this piece is in the guardian.
http://www.guardian.co.uk/science/2012/mar/18/helium-party-balloons-squandered
The phone in wasn't a fine example of science in the media. Thirty
minutes of it has done more to convince me of for the need of science
communication than anything else, as the so called expert from the
industry body peddled inaccuracies that the presenter accepted as truth.
He claimed you couldn't purify helium if it mixes with other gasses
(e.g. in NMR scanners) and so the balloon industry is actually just
using waste helium.
Their Green Balloon Campaign
http://www.thegreenballooncampaign.com/page10.htm states. "Helium is
found in the atmosphere all around us". Is it just me that feels that
this statement suggests it's more abundant than 0.0005% of the
atmosphere?
