pleased to announce that booking for our seminar on the important topic of
RFID is now open.
The seminar will take place on Tuesday the 19th of June at the Palace Hotel
in Manchester. Whether you work in a public or an academic library, this
seminar will have much to interest and inform you. The day will run from
approximately 10.00 to 16.00, and the draft programme is as follows. We will
update this on our website as we receive more information.
1. A talk through the RFID RFP (Request for Proposal) by the authors –
Mick Fortune of Library RFID Ltd and Mark Hughes (Head of Collections
Management, Swansea University),
and Karen Carden (Bibliographic Services Manager, University of the Arts

2. Group practice on completing the document
3. Feedback from the groups on how they found the document
4. Talk from local library on their RFID project- (Jeremy Andrew, Head
of Library Services & Kathryn O’Sullivan, both University of Central
Lancashire)
5. Update on global RFID developments – Mick Fortune
