Dear List Members,
IEEE recognises how important it is to ensure you get value for money from your institutional subscription to the IEEE Xplore Digital Library.
With this in mind we are again offering to run training events at your University or corporate locations.
During week of 21st to 25th May 2012, IEEE Client Services Manager Ruth Wolfish will be available ti visit your sites in the London and South England Area. If you are interested in hosting a session at your location please let me know as soon as possible. We have some interest already but still have room for more. We are keen to help you promote your subscriptions to your end users.
The events can be in several different formats as follows
1. Formal
An 60 minute "tips and tricks session" at your university for both students and staff, showing them the best methods to search the IEEE Xplore database, recent changes in the services will be highlighted. The aim of this session is to highlight the depth of content in the database.
2. Table Top or "Pop up Library"
We can visit your Engineering departments with a table top presentation int he hallways, this is a great way fo reaching out to engineers who do not regularly visit the library.
Do let us know if you would like a visit from IEEE!
Kind regards
Steven Tweedie - on behalf of the IEEE
