It is good that people are accessing these resources, but are they
'satisficing' by reading abstracts rather than full text of material
that is relevant to them? We are observing a not dissimilar
abstracts-only phenomenon here in my trust, where the psychopharmacology
current awareness bulletin produced by the drug information pharmacist
(which does not incorporate links to full text) hardly ever generates
document supply requests to the library service.
