Greetings, Simon Thompson et al. will be standing down as convenors, since their institution is declining to continue the ECPR subscription. To my knowledge we lack a constitution and succession procedures. In lieu of anything definite on that front turning up, I'd suggest that an email response to me on the following might be an appropriate way forward. The list pretty much runs itself with me as administrator, whereas the convenors' duties are slightly more extensive ....
1. Holding an informal meeting at ECPR Joint Sessions and at the General Conference.
2. Responding to any requests about activities/plans/events from ECPR Central Services.
3. Organising a 'Section' in order to get panel allocations at the General Conference.
4. Advising on proposed Joint Sessions submissions that have a 'theory' remit.
NB The Standing Group has no specific role with respect to workshop allocations at the Joint Sessions - all it can do is advise a bit on submissions before they go to the Programme Committee of the Executive.
So ...
1. Any volunteers? Presumably two or three as a team would be good.
2. Any comments on the procedures for determining which team wins?
Many thanks,
Terrell
