Subject: Appalling case of abuse!
I have copied an e mail from Simon Green for you all to consider.
Simon posts :- this online story doesnt really go into the full details, this man, blinded by an IRA bomb in the 1980s was bullied & harassed in work, so called colleagues moved items so he couldnt find them, deliberately left the room without informing him & his employers have admitted responsibility & apologised. But I dont call this just bullying & harassment, to me its a Hate Crime but neither the online story or main Wales Today bulletin said so. What do you think?

My view for what its worth is that :- This is more typical of the stupid 'hurtful' pranks played by children at school. I think that the whole management structure in the authority needs sacking for allowing this type of nastiness. I am appalled at the trite comments made after the judgement. To say 'The council has a strong track record of supporting people with disabilities.
"It is therefore very disappointing and a matter of great regret, that in this instance, our efforts let down this long-serving member of staff". That is, frankly, a load of rubbish spoken by a key manager who should have ensured real protection for a disabled person.
