There are some very good references and comments being made about this issue
on the Facebook page by some of the world's most respected WHO Code
commentators, one of whom is Carol Bartle.
After Carol presented in Grange-over-Sands last year, she has been invited
to speak at the BFI UK Conference later this year.

I would plead with midwives to be vigilant in supporting the WHO Code and
subsequent WHA Resolutions by not attending any education sponsored or
supported by companies in breach of the Code and WHA Resolutions - and not
publishing or supporting journals who accept such sponsorship.
In recent years, I have found some success in making direct approaches to
the editors of 2 international journals to inform them about a couple of
advertisers.
