Applications are invited for the post of Medical Statistician/Programmer based in the Clinical Trial Service Unit (CTSU) at the University of Oxford.
The CTSU is one of the world’s leading centres for population-based research into the causes, prevention and treatment of common chronic diseases (such as heart disease and cancer). We are seeking a self-motivated, well-organised person with a good degree, in a highly numerical subject, as well as a master’s degree, doctorate, or equivalent length of experience in a statistical programming environment to work on the analysis of data from our long-term studies of the side-effects of cancer treatments. You will have an interest in medical/epidemiological research and the ability to work independently as well as part of a team. The primary responsibilities will include collating data from several different sources and preparing them for analysis, preparing analyses plans in conjunction with senior scientists and designing and developing programs to run a series of appropriate statistical analyses.
Salary: £26,022-£31,758 p.a.
