Job Title: KTP Associate in Statistical Modelling of E Commerce
Starting Salary in the range of £23,811-£29,384 depending upon
skills/experience, plus the opportunity to study for a fully funded
Masters degree and a professional qualification (2 year Fixed Term
Contract).
Summit delivers all channels of online marketing and has a dedicated
technology division which delivers fully managed eCommerce platforms and
marketing tools to its clients including several high street retailers,
such as Argos and Comet.
Summit works specifically with multichannel retail clients to offer the
provision of highly complex e-marketing services to large retail
organisation, technology solutions and online strategic
direction/consultancy, specifically understanding online customer
behaviour to assist in increasing the response rate from new customers,
improving the retention rate of the clients existing customer base and
assisting in clients launching new to market propositions.
The KTP Associate will work with company and University staff to:
Construct and exploit statistical models which relate purchase behaviour
with dynamic ecommerce price comparison sites to factors such as price
elasticity, stock and site usability
Academic and company supervision are provided to support the Associate
in their role and the Associate will work closely with the academic
team, company staff and external stakeholders during their contract.
The KTP Associate will be recently qualified and need at least a 2:1
degree in Statistics or Mathematics with a high proportion of statistics
modules from a good university and some industrial experience is
desirable. The KTP Associate will be employed by The University of
Durham but will be based mostly at the company in Willerby, Yorkshire.
The appointment will be for a fixed term of 2 years with a starting
salary in the range of £23,811-£29,384 depending upon skills/experience,
plus the opportunity to study for a fully funded Masters degree and a
professional qualification. A possible performance related rise may be
payable.
