Dear colleagues,
Building on the strengths of the International Boundaries Research Unit and other research centres across the university, Durham University is seeking to appoint six professors/readers in the fields of conflict, security, boundaries and borders. Two of the research areas which the university has identified as priorities are likely to be of particular interest to members of int-boundaries:
1) The law and/or politics of international land or maritime borders
2) Global policy/global governance related to conflict, security or boundaries
Details of all the research fields in which the university is interested in making appointments, plus person specifications and other relevant information can be found at http://bit.ly/durham-posts (a shortened version of a rather long URL on the Durham University recruitment website www.dur.ac.uk/hr/recruitment).
The closing date for applications is 8 June 2012. If anyone wishes to discuss these posts before applying, please feel free to contact me. Please note that these are not IBRU posts, so I may need to forward some questions on to appropriate members of the faculty search committee - but IBRU would obviously welcome applications from candidates with active research interests in international boundary issues.
Regards,
m a r t i n
