This image shows the cranium of some mammal that has been basically
sliced and left in the baulk of an excavation trench by the team who
investigated this site before us. This skull been interpreted by
non-specialist archaeologists as being from a sheep or goat, although
other mammals undoubtedly present in the area at the same time (wild
dromedary, oryx, gazelle). Could someone confirm or deny our
interpretation with this image? I appreciate any comments people might have.
Thank you,
Jason
