The 1st European Symposium on Quantitative Methods in Transportation Systems will be held in Lausanne from September 4 to 8, 2012. The Symposium will be organized by École Polytechnique Fédérale de Lausanne (EPFL).
This Symposium is an interdisciplinary intermediate-size research conference on transportation research in general, and quantitative methods for transportation systems in particular. The Symposium will bring together major experts and most promising young researchers in the fields of Transportation Modeling, Operations Research, Economics, Physics, Logistics in a setting highly suitable for scientific discussion and active interaction in relatively small groups.

The scope of the symposium includes all aspects of quantitative methods for analysis and design of transportation systems, including but not limited to:

Paper submission
To present a paper at this event, an extended abstract (1000 words) should be submitted electronically (word or pdf format) to the organizers through the website (http://latsis2012.epfl.ch/) by 5 April 2012. The evaluation will be undertaken by referees drawn from the International Scientific Committee and other prominent researchers from around the world. - April 5 2012 : Submission of extended abstracts (1000 words)
- 15 May 2012 : Notification of acceptance of abstract
- 1 October 2012: Full paper submission (only for the special issue in the journal - Open Call)
