Hi Anupa,
if you want to re-process MSR you need the .rda file, which contains de raw data in a Siemens's especific format. The .ima file is a picture (in dicom format) of MRS analysis in the scanner. The only that you can do with the .ima file is to read the results obtained with Siemens's MRS processing software. There is an option in the Siemen's spectroscopy toolbox to export MRS acquisition as .rda file to a temporal folder in the scanner (now I can not remember excatly in which menu). rda files can be moved from the temporal folder to an USB device or sent to an other computer. The .rda is removed from scanner once the patient is removed from the brower. rda is not stored in the PACS system, .rda should be copied before removing the patient acquisition from the browser of the scanner.
About software I am using Lcmodel. Lcmodel easily gives you reliable results for standard MRS in the brain. However, it is not so robust for lipid analysis in musle. I have not knowdledge about MRUI.
Hope this helps
