* Provides mathematical support to HM Nautical Almanac Office
* Analyses astronomical data and reference systems
* Develops and maintains relevant software
* Produces and checks data for almanacs and web-based publications
As an agency of the MoD and a world-leading supplier of navigational
charts and publications, we are at the forefront of hydrographic digital
product development and services to the worldwide maritime community. We
need a Senior Analyst Mathematician to work as part of a small technical
team at UKHO.
* Computer literate mathematician educated to degree level
* Ability to produce applications and algorithms
* Detailed knowledge of astronomy and web programming beneficial
This is a Ministry of Defence non-reserved post and is therefore open to UK,
British Commonwealth and European Economic Area nationals. Successful
applicants will require security clearance; you will therefore need to have
resided in the UK for a minimum of 5 years.
