Dear colleagues,
ICOM CIDOC, in collaboration with the Museum of Texas Tech University, is organising the second edition of the CIDOC Summer School programme this year - an intense week of training on the theory and practice of museum documentation. The tutors are drawn from CIDOC and Texas Tech faculty. The wide ranging programme covers both introductory and advanced material - participants can chose which modules they find most interesting and useful. This year's programme features hands-on guidance in the photo lab, help on marking objects with toxic chemicals, advice on accounting, project management and budgets, as well as some technical and thought provoking modules on modelling museum processes, ontologies and linked data. All this combined with the pleasures of Tex-Mex cuisine and more sunshine than you ever thought possible. Not interested? Please pass the word along to someone who is. Thanks.
