Dear all,
I'm a PhD student at Newcastle University and I am hoping to pick your brains about recruiting participants for an event I am organising with the National Maritime Museum. We are inviting Flickr members to come to the museum and co-curate a set of photographs for Flickr The Commons and for the Compass Lounge, the museum's new, interactive gallery space. The event will comprise three workshops that will be held at the museum in Greenwich on 14 April and 12-13 May. Participants will get a behind the scenes look at the Museum and find out how displays are put together, from selecting a theme to developing interpretive materials.
We're in the process of recruiting Flickr members for the event and have advertised through the museum and through Flickr but I was wondering whether anybody had any other recommendations for individuals or groups that I could contact to see whether they would be interested in participating. Alternatively if anyone has any recommendations for particular websites or blogs that may be willing to post the information it would be very much appreciated.
Many thanks
Bronwen
