Hi all
It was interesting to see Charlotte's recent email on the issues around history reading lists at Northampton.
Perhaps not directly related, but the Information Managers at the University of Hertfordshire and keen to develop the concept of the reading list into what we call the "Living reading list". The "Living reading list" is interactive, short, relevant and current.
We have developed a JISC elevator bid, and the proposed project would aim to:
. look at how the "Living reading list" can be easily and quickly implemented and used
. look at easy-to-use open source tools and applications, and how non-technical staff can integrate University collections within their VLEs
. ensure students are able to identify, add and review resources on the reading list
. look at organisational best practice for the on-going management and promotion of the reading list
. evaluate the different tools and applications by involving academic staff and students.
If you want to find out more, take a look at our JISC elevator bid at:

We need as many votes as possible, so if you are interested in this project please vote for it!
Many thanks
David
