Call for Abstracts is Now Open! Deadline 5.00pm Monday 30 April 2012
The main conference theme is Exploiting Industry and University Research and Development: Why it Matters? and the sub theme is Advancing Innovation and Entrepreneurship. We therefore invite abstracts from academic researchers, policy makers, consultants and business practitioners.
Empirical research (quantitative and qualitative) examining the conference theme from academic, industry and policy perspectives is particularly welcome. As our audience will comprise a rich mixture of academics, policy makers and business practitioners, we are keen to ensure that the implications of research are communicated and debated. We welcome abstracts for oral as well as poster presentations.
Submissions:
Submissions should be submitted initially in the form of an abstract. Abstracts should be no more than 500 words, and include information such as:
• Title
• Background
• Aim of Study
• Methodology
• Findings
• Conclusions and Implications
Please also include all author and co-author details (title, full name, affiliation, contact email address(es). Abstracts must be submitted online on the Conference website by clicking on the Abstract Submission link on the sidebar (http://www.conference.ie/Conferences/index.asp?Conference=172)
Please complete all fields and upload your submission as a PDF file only. The system does not accept any other file formats, including Word documents. The closing date for receipt of abstracts is 5.00pm on Monday 30th April 2012. Late submissions will not be accepted. Authors will be informed within 2 weeks of the closing date about the success of their submission.
The Conference (more details to follow):
Day 1 (12 June): The keynote address is entitled Research on Academic Entrepreneurship: Lessons Learned and a Research Agenda by Professor Donald Siegel, Dean of the School of Business and Professor of Management at the University at Albany, State University of New York, USA.
Day 2 (13 June): The keynote address is entitled Economic Growth and Academic Entrepreneurship: Lessons and Implications for Industry, Academia and Policymakers, by Professor Donald Siegel, Dean of the School of Business and Professor of Management at the University at Albany, State University of New York, USA. There will also be a number of key speakers from a range of industry sectors across the island of Ireland.
The audience for the two-day conference is expected to comprise of business leaders, academics and policy-makers from across Ireland and internationally. We look forward to receiving your contributions and to a very stimulating conference.
