The editors of "Recherches Britanniques - Socite, culture, politique en
Grande-Bretagne du XVIIIe au XXIe sicle", a peer-reviewed e-journal, are
looking for contributions for their third issue on the theme of
"Migrants, Minorities, Exclusion and National Identities in Britain and
in the Commonwealth".
Subjects of interest could be: the evolution of the UK into a
multi-ethnic country with an examination of demographic and policy
changes; the birth and development of multiculturalism as a concept and
a policy; the questioning of the definition of British identity; the
specific situation of economic migrants and asylum seekers in the UK and
the Commonwealth; the perceptions of immigrants and immigration policies
etc. All perspectives are welcome as the editors encourage
multidisciplinarity and aim at covering a broad spectrum of subjects.
Proposals for papers of 1,000 words in length at most as well as a brief
