Is anyone else following the publications of the West Gallery Music Association? West gallery church music (as in Thomas Hardy's novels) is a very English thing, I realise, but there's good stuff there: we've just acquired 'Never on Sunday' / transcribed by Rollo G. Woods, which looks rather intriguing. (It's earmarked for my tea-break this afternoon .)
In case you've not come across this repertoire before, I share these links:-
The book - http://www.wgma.org.uk/Resources/nos.htm
The association - http://www.wgma.org.uk/index.htm
This would interest musicians at Bristol Uni - do pass this on if you know the right folk to contact!
Cheers
