GIS Analyst – Oil & Gas – E&P Data:
Triad Resourcing’s client have an exciting opportunity for an experienced GIS Analyst to join a world-wide Oil and Gas company in Scotland. The GIS Analyst will be working alongside an existing team to provide GIS support and associated data management to existing projects with a fair degree of variety surrounding GIS, GIS Workflows and the management of related spatial E&P data. Your primary responsibility is to provide basic support and essential enhancements to existing practises. Please note: no product development or design is required.
Essential Skills:
- Strong experience with ESRI’s ArcGIS Desktop Application
- Experience with Oil & Gas E&P Data.
- Ability to demonstrate solid competency with Coordinate Reference Systems, Map Projections & Geodesy
- some knowledge of Offshore SubSurface Data & Work-flows is desirable
- ArcGIS Server / Web Mapping is also deemed useful
Other skills:
- Knowledge : of Seismic Bin Grids w.r.t Georeference Integrity
- Knowledge : Well related spatial data : surface locations & well paths Integrity
- Knowledge : of managing raster data sets, digital terrain models.
- Knowledge : Data Management principles w.r.t Data Clean Ups and rationalisation.
- Knowledge : of other spatial datasets such as Pipelines, Environmental, & License Concession data
- Desirable : Exposure to FME routines and Spatial Data Manipulation
