Hello,
In my current fMRI design, there are a number of events that are probabilistic and as a result, my run could last anywhere between 2.5 minutes to 7.5 minutes (although will most likely last 5 minutes). There is no way to stop the scanner from acquiring data once the run begins, so I set it for the maximal case (7.5 minutes). However, in the event that my trial only lasts 3 minutes, will that extra 4.5 minutes of idle time for the participant effect any of my results. My timing information (the inputs for FEAT analysis) will only go up to 3.5 minutes, so my intuition is that anything that occurs after that will not influence my contrasts. However, I just wanted to confirm.
Thanks,
Julian
