This one day event by the National Centre for Research Methods (NCRM) will explore current thinking on how best to refine survey questions (both new and already used) using insights from cognitive interviewing. The day will touch on undertaking cognitive interviews in one language and in more than one language. Attendees will be able to bring survey questions which they wish to refine with them and these will be looked at during the day. The day will be formed of both lectures and practical sessions which deal with conducting cognitive interviews and planning fieldwork involving cognitive interviews.
The fee for this course is £30 for UK registered postgraduate students; £60 for staff at UK academic institutions, ESRC funded researchers and registered charity organisations; £220 for all other participants. All fees include event materials, lunch, morning and afternoon tea.
