We do have social media guidelines here
(http://edina.ac.uk/about/social_media/social_media_guidelines.html)
and, as it's a relatively small organisation (80 ish people) I tend to
give tailored training/help to my colleagues in getting set up, updating
presences, thinking about the type of content that will be right for
their audiences or communities.
I know there are an increasing number of organisations offering training
and that the LSE have a guide on social media for researchers that
compliments the RIN case studies and research in this area. Both are
well worth a read.
