Anne talked about the concept of "Absent Friends" and I think that may be a very appropriate point at which to tie things up this afternoon.
This afternoon we've talked a little about social media and library catalogues; we talked a lot about the difficult balance between the potential benefits of social media and the risks of exclusion in the use of social media; and we've had a suggestion that the best cataloguers hashtag their tweets!
Please do continue to reply to posts that interest you and we'll be back tomorrow morning for more discussion of social media and cataloguers. If there's a particular question or issue you'd like to raise please do either send it to the list or send it directly to myself, Wendy, Celine or Esther and we'll be happy to raise it.
Thank you to all of you who have been taking part this afternoon - it's been really interesting to hear your comments and perspectives and I look forward to seeing how these are followed up by those catching up or taking part tomorrow.
Have a great evening and we'll see you back on the CIG E Forum list again tomorrow!
Thanks,
Nicola.
