We seek an outstanding scientist with an established track record
of independent research in biochemistry, and in particular in the
physical biochemistry of molecular interactions. The person
appointed will be expected to establish and sustain a rigorous
externally funded research programme and to have a commitment to
excellent teaching. Applications are particularly welcome from
candidates who have the potential to develop and sustain
collaborations with academics in our Department research themes
and to foster collaboration across the University and beyond.
The Department of Biology & Biochemistry is one of the leading
research intensive Biosciences departments in the UK. The
outstanding quality of our research is reflected in the level of
external funding from the UK Research Councils, medical
charities, European Union and Industry as well as publications in
the top international journals (Nature, Science, PNAS and PLoS
Biology).
