Hi Darrell
I suggest you contact Mark Flashman at the BBC World Service who I know has some very interesting archive material.

Hi everyone,
I know I've asked some of you about this before, but the hunt goes on:
Does anyone have any possible sources for recordings of West Indian themed musical programmes from the pre-war or postwar era?
I've spoken with the folks at the Caribbean Service as they were sadly dismantling the operation in Jamaica, but they had nothing before the 1980s. I've also checkedwith Caversham, and the Jamaican Broadcasting Service, but no one has any copies. I also wrote to the University of the West Indies, but to no avail.
I have massive amounts of written documentation, but I still have no actual programming to study. I know many recordings didn't survive the war, but I'm hopeful.
Any thoughts, please?
