Arising from closure and imminent sale of an outstore at Sawtry near Peterborough, Cambridgeshire Archives has a quantity of steel shelving going free to archive repositories, subject only to a contribution towards cost of dismantling. Buyers must collect within the period Tuesday 27- Friday 30 March. If interested please email or (preferably) phone me this week on 01223-699487 (Wednesday or Friday 01487-832647). It can, if desired, be inspected at Sawtry on Wednesday 7 March or Friday 9 March or Monday 12 March.
It is of three types:
Rolled front edge [?Moresecure or similar predecessor], 33 x 18 x 93 ins (width x depth x height), currently 8 shelves (including roof) per bay - 15 bays
Dexion angle iron, 36 x 18 x 84 - 68 bays, currently 6 shelves per bay - 68 bays
Angle iron [manufacturer unknown] 36 or 48 x 18 x 88, currently 3 shelves per bay [i.e. suits records management boxes etc stacked in 2s or 3s) - 16 bays
Ditto, 48 x 18 x 88, currently 3 shelves per bay - 18 bays
